School Memories – At your School

A School Memory is a video interview of a child. It captures the ideas and reflections of the child at a particular time in their early development.

The student is responsible for selecting digital media with their family at home and saving it onto a USB stick, which we provide.

They come to the interview with their favourite artworks and section of their creative writing.

These documents are scanned we incorporate them throughout the video during editing. We aim to capture a child’s thoughts on things they’re learning at school, their family and its history and get them to think about what they want to be when they grow up.

At the completion of post-production, families receive their video back on a USB and they also start their Family Time capsule.   Videos are storied on a secure site located on the Inspired Stories website, which is password protected for each family.  The benefit of this being a collection of School Memories is in one location, allowing the student and their family to look back at the student’s reflections and see their development and growth.

We believe story telling and imagining a future is essential for an individual’s sense of identity, and critical for positive development.
